La capitale du Perche est Nogent le Rotrou, une charmante petite ville avec son marche , château fortifie du XI e siècle , l;a vieille ville a tout le caractère typique du Perche avec ses toits pointus en tuiles rouge . Nogent a un superbe marche sur la place principale et qui s'etend dans la ville tous les samedi matin vendant toute sorte de produits frais et autres.

Nogent a de nombreux petits magasins,des supermarchés,des restaurants et bars. Il y a un nouveau complexe piscine, un golf , un centre
d' activité, canoë. A 1H30 de Paris en voiture, train direct de Paris Montparnasse. A 40mn de Chartres et sa fameuse cathédrale, 1/2H de Châteaudun, 1H du Mans et 1H30 min des Châteaux de la Loire.

Il y a beaucoup de centres hippiques locaux certains spécialisés dans la promenade sur les énormes chevaux percherons . Il y a des lacs ouvert a la pèche, nombreuses promenades pédestres, circuits vtt , manoirs a visiter, châteaux, jardins et muses.

Nogent has numerous little shops, florists,a fishmonger, butcher,baker,interiors,brocantes, large supermarket ,restaurants and bars. There is a new swimming complex, golf course , outdoor activity centre, canoeing. One hour thirty mins from Paris, the journey also by done by train direct to Montparnasse Forty mins from Chartres and its famous cathedral, half an hour from Chateaudun, one hour from Le Mans a huge shopping area and of course all the events held at the race track and an hour and half from the the famous Chateaux of the Loire.

Locally there are many riding centres some specializing in hacking on enormous percheron, one can learn to drive a horse drawn carriage. There are fishing lakes, walks, cycles , manoirs and museums.
